Facilities
Auditorium
The campus includes an ultra modern hi-tech auditorium which has a capacity of over 1000. It provides the perfect platform for students to exhibit their talent. The cinema-styled auditorium is of professional standards and motivates students to perform on a grand stage while accustoming them to face the spotlight with confidence.
TRANSPORT
The school has its own fleet of new air-conditioned buses to ferry the children to and fro. A teacher travels in every bus and disembarks only after the last child is dropped off safely. Safety on the road is given paramount importance. The students embark and disembark within the school campus under the vigilance of transport managers and teaching staff. An escort teacher and helping staff accompany the children in the bus. All the buses are equipped with a medical kit for emergency. In case of a delay due to unforeseen circumstances, parents are immediately informed through SMS.
The school transport will cover almost all areas of Ludhiana as well as the satellite towns within a range of 15 – 20 km.
Swimming Pool
Children are naturally drawn to water. Hence there is a need to train children in water safety. Learning the fundamentals of swimming during PE class assures that the child is engaging in a safe aquatic experience. The school has catered to a swimming pool for the older children and a splash pool for the little ones. Swimming for children is great fun and at the same time a low-impact alternative to students who may have health issues and are unable to participate in rigorous sports. Above all, it is a life-long activity.

The school operates a medical facility with a well-equipped sick bay, staffed by a qualified nurse who is available during school hours.
COMPUTER LAB & LANGUAGE LAB
The Computer Lab is well resourced with high-speed central servers and the latest educational software (with adequate security and safety features). Every student has access to a terminal in the lab. We are also keen to teach children about personal safety in the use of social media to ensure they are fully aware of the social risks involved. Parents can access the up-to-date progress of their children in each subject via the school’s website.
Our Language Laboratory is fitted with latest multimedia equipment and audio-visual aids. Students are able to practice speaking a new language, record their work and take part in interactive sessions to improve their language skills while enjoying the experience.
SOCIAL SCIENCE LAB
Social Science Laboratory has equipment, apparatus and materials required for each subject, such as maps, globe, ethnic artifacts, etc. to promote practical learning. It provides a work space for students and teachers for interactive activities such as role playing, visualization, competing/cooperating, problem solving or focussed group discussions.
MATHEMATICS LAB
The Maths Lab allows students to explore mathematical concepts via games, puzzles and other modern teaching aids. In addition to teaching in the lab, students are encouraged to use lab facilities on their own to inculcate in them a spi r it of discovery and inventions
SCIENCE & ROBOTICS LAB
The school has also built a Science and Robotics lab for students to learn the wonders of science and also train them to build and control robots. Fostering scientific thinking and reasoning, the lab helps students to move beyond the textbook and promotes learning-by-doing.
CURRICULUM
The Curriculum of DWPS World Foundation adheres to the National Curriculum Framework 2005 (NCF 2005) and the CBSE curriculum. The Foundation believes that the classroom experiences of children are to be organized in a manner that permits them to construct knowledge in consonance with his/her own nature and context, thus providing equal learning opportunities to all. Teaching aims at enhancing the child’s innate desire and acumen to learn. Activity is at the heart of the child’s attempt to sense the world around. Therefore, every resource is deployed in a child-centric manner to enable them to express, handle objects, explore their natural and social milieu and to grow up in good health.
Our guiding principles are as follows
Teaching and learning to shift away from old and hackneyed methods
Curriculum to be enriched enough to go beyond textbooks Teach less and learn more
Opportunities to be created to enhance the ability of children to link learnt knowledge to life outside the school
Examinations to be continuous and comprehensive
Classroom experiences directed towards becoming good citizens with the sense of equality and compassion towards others
VALUE EDUCATION Great emphasis is placed on value education, keeping in mind the many ills that have fallen upon modern day society. Moral education, and not moral policing, is the need of the hour, and we at DWPS Ludhiana have undertaken the crucial responsibility of imparting a curriculum which is qualitative and not just quantitative.
LIFE SKILLS Our students are trained for life. They are encouraged to imbibe basic skills about health, nutrition, relationships, etc. so as to become independent and also learn the dignity of labour.
